Product FAQ
Q1. How is the cabinet shipped?
Flat-pack. The cabinet ships as pre-cut, pre-bored panels with all hardware included — engineered for container-efficient stacking and retail kit-form distribution.
Q2. Is it pre-assembled?
No. MJK-SC-101 ships as knock-down (KD) flat-pack. The buyer or end customer assembles on site with the supplied hardware. Every connection point is pre-bored at the factory to the same tooling tolerance as a fully assembled sample.
Q3. Can dimensions be customised?
Yes — width, depth, height, and compartment count are all configurable. Minimum custom order: 50 units. Any tooling cost is disclosed up-front in the quotation, never billed later.
Q4. What is the edge treatment for child safety?
All visible edges are chamfered with a 30 mm radius (R30) or larger on child-contact surfaces. Every surface is fully sanded before finish coat. We publish these specifications openly because, in our experience, a buyer comparing samples values a verifiable number more than a "child-safe" claim with no number behind it.
Q5. What is the load capacity per shelf?
40 kg per shelf under evenly distributed static load. Dynamic-load and stacking ratings are not published as a blanket figure because they depend on use case — happy to provide ratings against a specific scenario on request.

Detailed Description
The MJK-BS-104 is a five-tier front-facing bookshelf built for the Montessori method's core hardware requirement: child-eye book selection. Picture-book covers face outward across five shallow display tiers, replacing spine-only library logic with a visual prompt that children three years and up can navigate independently.
Compact at 76.2 × 26.4 × 73.6 cm, the unit fits Montessori reading corners, daycare quiet zones, and primary classroom literacy walls without crowding floor space. Each of the five tiers is a single continuous display channel (not subdivided), holding approximately seven standard picture books per tier, depending on book size. Display panels sit at a 10-degree gentle slant — enough to keep covers visible from child sightline, shallow enough for books to rest without slip. The bookshelf is open-back (no rear panel) to keep the reading wall visually permeable, with solid side panels (no decorative cut-outs) to anchor structural rigidity.
Built from European birch plywood — buyer's choice of 15 mm or 18 mm thickness. The 18 mm specification anchors our standing Layer 1 rolling report (HJ-QAT-260457 / SHST lab / 0.039 ppm formaldehyde / 22% below CARB Phase 2). The 15 mm option routes through Layer 2 order-triggered testing in the buyer's company name. Surface finish is buyer's choice: hardwax oil (penetrating, low-sheen, Montessori naturalist aesthetic) or sprayed clear lacquer (film-forming, scratch-resistant, wipe-clean for long-day-care environments).
Ships flat-pack knock-down (KD) by default — significantly reducing container volume versus pre-assembled bookshelves, lowering AU/NZ inbound freight per unit. Five-layer corrugated carton, ISPM-15 fumigated export pallets. An anti-tip wall strap is shipped with every unit as standard, included to address tip-over safety expectations now common in US and AU school furniture procurement. Empty unit weight is approximately 15 kg; per-tier static load is rated at 20 kg.
Compliance routing follows our published Two-Layer framework. Layer 1 rolling report attaches to the 18 mm specification on any order; Layer 2 fresh testing in the buyer's company name is triggered by qualifying order scope (disclosed in quotation) — suitable for customs files, due-diligence packs, and brand-side compliance records. Plywood structural reference: F17 / AS-NZS 2269 supplier-held. Furniture-level testing reference on order trigger: AS/NZS 4610.

Detailed Description
The MJK-BS-103 is a double-sided front-facing bookshelf built for the Montessori method's core hardware requirement: child-eye book selection. Unlike the wall-facing single-sided version, it is built to work from both sides — five 10-degree front-facing display tiers on the front for cover-out book selection, and a flat horizontal top on the reverse usable as a low display or quiet-work surface.
Compact at 76.2 × 26.4 × 73.6 cm, the unit suits room-divider and island placement: set mid-floor, it splits a space into zones, serving a reading group on one side and a work surface on the other, rather than pushing storage to the wall. Each of the five front tiers is a single continuous display channel (not subdivided), holding approximately seven standard picture books per tier, depending on book size. Display panels sit at a 10-degree gentle slant — enough to keep covers visible from child sightline, shallow enough for books to rest without slip. Solid side panels (no decorative cut-outs) anchor structural rigidity.

Detailed Description
The MJK-SC-102 is a low, open storage cabinet for Montessori and early-years classrooms, with five open compartments arranged two over three. Open fronts (no doors) keep materials visible and within a child's reach — the prepared-environment principle that everything has its place, and the place is reachable.
At 122 × 33 × 62.5 cm it sits below child sightline, so the top is usable as a display surface, while each compartment is rated to a 40 kg static load for trays, baskets, and material sets. The closed back gives the unit rigidity and lets it sit flat against a wall. Buyers needing more capacity can step up to the 8-compartment version.
Built from European birch plywood — buyer's choice of 15 mm or 18 mm thickness. The 18 mm specification anchors our standing Layer 1 rolling report (HJ-QAT-260457 / SHST lab / 0.039 ppm formaldehyde / 22% below CARB Phase 2). The 15 mm option routes through Layer 2 order-triggered testing in the buyer's company name. Surface finish is buyer's choice: hardwax oil (penetrating, low-sheen, Montessori naturalist aesthetic) or sprayed clear lacquer (film-forming, scratch-resistant, wipe-clean for long-day-care environments).
Ships flat-pack knock-down (KD) by default — significantly reducing container volume versus pre-assembled cabinets, lowering AU/NZ inbound freight per unit. Detailed Description
The MJK-BS-101 is a compact three-tier front-facing bookshelf for small reading corners, toddler rooms, and tight classroom nooks. Picture-book covers face outward across three shallow display tiers, giving the youngest children an independent cover-out selection prompt.
At just 43 × 43.5 × 41 cm it suits limited floor space and the smallest children. Each of the three tiers is a single continuous display channel holding about three picture books, depending on book size. Display panels sit at a 10-degree gentle slant to keep covers visible from a child's standing line of sight. Single-sided and open-back (no rear panel) for wall placement, with solid side panels (no decorative cut-outs) for rigidity; for larger classrooms, see the larger 5-tier versions.
Built from European birch plywood — buyer's choice of 15 mm or 18 mm thickness. The 18 mm specification anchors our standing Layer 1 rolling report (HJ-QAT-260457 / SHST lab / 0.039 ppm formaldehyde / 22% below CARB Phase 2). Detailed Description
The MJK-BS-105W is a double-sided mobile bookshelf: both faces present sloped, front-facing display channels, and the unit is mounted on four casters so it can be repositioned or used to zone an open-plan classroom. At 60 × 36 × 53 cm it is sized for toddler and early-primary reach from either side.
The double-sided format lets two children browse independently from opposite faces at the same time, and lets a single unit act as a low room divider that defines a reading corner without blocking sightlines for supervising adults. Each face carries 2 sloped tiers — 4 display channels in total — each holding approximately 3 picture books so that covers, not spines, face the child.
Four casters are fitted: two are lockable (braked) and two are standard, so the unit rolls easily for cleaning or reconfiguration and locks firmly in place during use. Because it is a mobile unit, stability in use comes from the locking casters rather than a wall strap.
Body material: 13-ply European birch plywood, 15 mm or 18 mm, buyer's choice. The 18 mm 13-ply standard sample is covered by our Layer 1 rolling test report (HJ-QAT-260457, 0.039 ppm formaldehyde, 22% below the CARB Phase 2 limit). 15 mm or custom-spec selections run under Layer 2 order-triggered testing in the buyer's company name. No MDF. No softwood substitutes.
Surface finish: hardwax oil or sprayed clear lacquer, buyer's choice. All panels edge-banded with rounded corners, designed to AS/NZS 4610 children's furniture surface safety conventions. Shipped flat-pack (KD / Knock-Down) with casters and hardware included for buyer-side assembly. All dimensions, tier count, and caster configuration are OEM-customisable.
Product FAQ
Q1. What materials and finishes are available?
Body: 13-ply European birch plywood, 15 mm or 18 mm (buyer's choice). No MDF, no softwood substitutes. Surface finish: hardwax oil or sprayed clear lacquer, buyer's choice, both meeting AS/NZS 4610 surface safety conventions. The casters are the only non-wood component. All panels edge-banded with rounded corners.
Q2. What is the compliance position?
The 18 mm 13-ply standard sample is covered by our Layer 1 rolling test report: 0.039 ppm formaldehyde, 22% below the CARB Phase 2 limit (SHST lab report HJ-QAT-260457). 15 mm or custom-spec selections run under Layer 2 order-triggered third-party testing in the buyer's company name on qualifying orders.
Q3. How is it shipped and assembled?
Flat-pack knock-down (KD) by default, with the four casters and all hardware included for buyer-side assembly. 5-layer corrugated carton with ISPM-15 fumigated pallets. FOB Shenzhen is the default Incoterm; EXW Xuzhou and DDP available on request.
Q4. What is the capacity, and how does the double-sided mobile format work?
Both faces are sloped front-facing display channels: 2 tiers per face, 4 display channels in total, each holding approximately 3 picture books cover-out. Four casters are fitted — two lockable (braked) and two standard — so two children can browse from opposite faces at once, the unit can zone an open-plan room as a low divider, and it locks firmly in place during use. Approximate empty weight 15 kg; per-tier static load 20 kg.
Q5. Can it be customised?
Yes. Customisable parameters include overall dimensions, tier count, caster configuration, plywood thickness (15 / 18 mm), and surface finish. Custom MOQ: 50 units; standard MOQ: 30 units. Lead time 30–45 days.
